Browse, Score, Segment, Create Journeys for Anonymous Visitor Records.
Recommendation:
Contain related visits, page views, sent/seen HUMs, and fields/data points such as IP based info, created date, (custom fields - like lead score, lead rank, etc).
Most of which is already being housed somewhere in AP because on email click, form or HU conversion the history flows from the annonymous visitor to the contact.
Problem:
The proactive headsup criteria is OR based logic on pageview activity only. I need to be able to treat anonymous visitor just like a lead or contact with the exception of being able to email, txt, or LOB them.
Use Case:
I need to be able to target and display HUMs to site traffic based on past and current behaviors and engagements.

This is a massive ask for us too. Would allow us to use autopilot for a lot of our core features that we are having to create messy workarounds for.

@gary you hit the nail on the head. utm tracking for known v unknown is a huge need for us right now.

+1. This would provide substantial new clarity to returning anonymous customers - esp. with increasingly focused HU messaging.

+1. I agree completely with the comments of Nick, Andy and Tom. The ability to create a smart segment that captures all visitors (anonymous or known) from a particular site or utm parameter would help provide more clarity on the PEOPLE (v. clicks) visiting our site. Understood this is not perfect, as it is cookie-based, but it is WAY better than nothing. Thx

Completely agree with your suggestion Nick - thank's for sharing!
I want e.g. to display a HUM if an anonymous visitor visits a specific page the 3rd time.
Use case here:
Most traffic on my site (as always) is caused by anonymous visitors. To decide for or against my service, people need to think about it several times before they're ready to signup.
Therefore I want to recognise returning visitors to estimate their value. 3rd, 5th or 10th visit is more valuable then 1st.
So I want to be able to message them differently based on their number of visits.Of course this is no exact science as different devices or deleting cookies can disrupt counting.
But it's better like this than totally missing any possibility to engage retourning anonymous visitors.
Instead, it's better to say "thanks for comming back - in case you have further questions..." -

There isn't enough votes in the world for this. I would ask that more generally the design and dev team brainstorm on features and functionality related to anonymous users as a whole. Even less savy users know these days to block or frequently delete cookies from their browser.
I'm an Autopilot fan, but I think it's also fair to say there isn't a lot of top of the funnel functionality. Building out in this area would certainly add value, in my view.
