Fix Pipedrive's Threading Issue
Pipedrive currently threads together any emails where the subject line and two or more participants are matching.
This creates a problem, because Autopilot routes responses to our journey emails from our reply-to email address (instead of the original sender).
As a result, email responses from completely different customers end up threaded together in Pipedrive.
I am not sure whether this should be fixed on the Autopilot side or Pipedrive side, but I think it could be fixed on either end. Autopilot could probably fix this issue simply by using the original sender’s email address when forwarding along the emails to us. This could also be fixed on Pipedrive’s side simply by looking at the “Sender Name” in addition to the sender email when trying to determine whether a participating sender is a match.
