Salesforce Custom Object integration
Be great if you would be able to setup and integrate Salesforce custom objects into Autopilot allowing for segmentation of lists based on information in the custom object.
The issue you are going to run into that Eloqua has is which is the right custom object to pull and which one to use e.g. opportunity one opportunity may be closed lost but another one may be Closed Won.
If creating a segment based on send emails to all Closed Lost deals you run into the issue of sending it to closed won.
The only way I have seen around this via custom API is pulling only the latest date Opportunity (Custom object) when running one segment and pull all Opportunity's for another segment based on what email I want to send out and to who.

All you can find a work around using Zapier Integration or segment Events.
Still, It would be really great if autopilot goes in that direction.

This is a huge component missing from Autopilot! We have custom objects we use to handle equipment reservations - this object contains all data, e.g. reserved date, time, location, etc - we'd love to use AutoPilot to send out notifications for these reservations, including using a merge field with the associated data. But alas.... we can't!
Has anyone figured out a work around

Very useful in situations where you need to trigger journeys off of data objects that are custom one-to-many relationships with other custom objects or standard lead/account objects.

Yes, I agree with Josh! The SF integration was a HUGE factor in my decision to move forward with Autopilot HQ. We use custom object exclusively due to the nature of our business (we are a real estate school). We have a custom object for "classes" and one for "enrollments" setup as parent/child. They are related to contacts but that does not allow for us to have the opportunity to tie journeys to specific class enrollments nor send out pre and post class emails. This will greatly limit our usage of Autopilot and of course our spend with you. Please add custom object integration.

This is also super useful for re-occurring events (subscriptions, etc). Sometimes there will be people who have multiple subscriptions which don't have an end date on a contact object.
It could also be useful for other feedback - i.e X number of days after a purchase date based on the type of purchase and other criteria, an email is fired off.
