This limitation with the current Email editor results in considerable additional work for us when we want to update or amend an existing email. We have a need to use style codes that can only be defined in the head tag (eg "media query" for mobile responsiveness). However, these style codes are unsupported currently in the Advanced Editor. Media queries, as one example, are essential in our email functionality. Consequently, we can't use the Advanced Editor and therefore have to upload a new HTML file each time we update or amend an email, and integrate this new email version with our existing journeys. This is particularly painful when only a minor change has been made to the email. The addition of this capability would be much appreciated by us, and others having read the comments here. Fingers crossed.

I've used 6 different ESPs before and this is a standard feature I've seen in every provider. I'm used to working/editing emails in code so this is very limiting.

Totally agree with the other comments here. At present we upload new versions of an email and this entails other work. It would save considerable time and be very convenient to have the ability to directly edit the email.

Vote from me. Need to be able to upload new html into an existing email that was created using the 'Upload HTML' option in the basic editor. Capturing different versions of the same email via segments is cumbersome.

This would be an amazing feature and I'm totally shocked that it's not available. It's really a hassle to have to reupload the HTML file again and again just to test small changes. Especially since we have different people on our team writing code for the emails than we have adding content. If something goes wrong in the email, the content writers often have to start over from scratch which wastes a lot of time and effort.

Above information is correct but I need To share something about AOL recovery. Check out the link given herehttps://emailsupports.net/aol-account-recovery/ and know many useful facts about the AOL mail.

To me this is a fundamental requirement of any email marketing platform.
The current workaround of adding AP:EDIT to the element that directly wraps the content you wish to enable editing on is not an option as it messes with the html and causes problems on some devices/email clients.
We create emails using the 'upload html' option.
We only apply the AP:Edit to a hidden <p> tag which contains a tracking pixel (as have to edit it to make sure the tracking pixel/image is not a rackspace image which Autopilot makes).
So, when we make any changes to our emails, we have to create a whole new version.
This creates a lot of work as there is now a new version of the same email to track any time there are changes. -

not having this is very frustrating, especially as one has to create a new mail template and then replace all occurrences of the old mail :(

We upload a HTML template then we make changes with the Autopilot editor to update it or adapt it for some other purpose. This happens several times until, in this case, we need to make a small (compared to the last iteration) change to something which is not marked editable. So far as I can see there's no way to make something that is uneditable editable in the Autopilot editor, nor can we download the template HTML to edit on our own and then reupload. The only option is to revert to the original HTML, make that element editable, upload, and then make all the changes in the Autopilot editor that might have accumulated over months.

Yes this would save so much time and I'm quite used to it coming from another automation tool!

Yes yes yes yes. This would definitely help. Especially since I could add the edit tag directly in Autopilot.

It'd also be helpful if users were able to reupload an HTML file to an existing email (instead of having to create a new email if I want to make any changes)
