allow merging of two contacts
A contact has entered journeys with 2 email addresses and requests to just use one. Merging would allow for complete history of contact vs simply deleting the extra contact.
Another scenario is a contact who initially enters a journey with a typo in their email address. Updating the contact info and merging both names would keep history intact.

+1 Both the ability to merge contacts and the addition of an alternative email address

+1 - Think a primary and alternative email address(es) needs to happen, otherwise we're duplicating contacts (which pricing is based on) unnecessarily.

The option to have 2 emails (primary and secondary) or merging/linking would be critical for tracking, especially events. Obviously the primary would be auto selected for one for any journey. But the second would trigger tracking too on that contact. What I am dealing with right now.... Event invitation is being sent out, but people are registering for the event with a different email (which i am zap-ing back to Autopilot), so they are not getting consistently tracked. I want to be able to follow up with those who have not registered... and I am going to have to do some cross referencing to make sure they don't get hit again (since they already RSVPd).

I agree. This should also work when you merge two records in Salesforce, this should be reflected in autopilot as well.

Agreed, merging contacts would be a useful feature! I'd also like to see a primary and secondary email field for contacts with multiple email address.
