Add reply outcomes for Twillio SMS
Using URL requests to a custom Twillio account, enable an 'On SMS Reply' trigger for Journeys. This could simply be any reply to an SMS, or you could specify the body of the reply you would like to trigger from e.g. YES.
This would be an extremely powerful and useful extension for SMS automation campaigns.
This is now available. See https://autopilothq.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204643745-Action-Send-SMS under “How do I add reply outcomes?”

Agreed. There are however some interesting ways you can get responses using a bit of a work around. The SMS could have a link that sends them to a form that asks questions. The link in the SMS would encode info you already know such as the email address and phone number. Using some Java Script (there’s an example on the autopilot site)
This prefilled info could even be put into a hidden field if you want. The info that pre-populates the form is used to connect it to the right contact in your auto pilot data base. So when they answer the questions on the form it updates your data base on auto pilot.
I have not tried this method yet. I’m new to auto pilot. Just need ask the a few questions. But as far as I can tell this should work perfectly. It has the additional benefit of saving text message characters since you are asking the questions on a form and not the text message itself.
I’m going to try this out in the next couple of days. I’ll let you know how it works out.

A way to have a condition if someone replies to an SMS YES/NO to then continue the journey based on their answer?
